Volunteers

We seek volunteer applicants for each camp who love the Lord, love young people, and are energetic and creative in living out their faith. Priority is given to Children & Youth Ministers, ministry interns, and adult volunteers who are working with campers from their youth group.

Applications are open each year from early March through mid April and volunteer staff positions are usually finalized by the first of May. ACU Leadership Camps reserves the right to decline any applicant on the basis of camp need, priority, references, or background check.

Camp Staff

Our summer staff have proven to be some of the finest college students you could ever hope to meet. Each one is well-trained in meeting the needs of young people and is committed to making a difference… one camper at a time.

Each year we hire around 50 college students to work all of our camps. Specifically, we hire a Leadership Team (head counselors, assistant directors, worship coordinators, and office assistant), a First Aid Team, a Media Team, and Camp Counselors. Applications open each year in early November. After applying, you may be invited into an interview process that culminates with staff hiring at the end of February each year.

Beginning in March of each year, our staff gathers weekly to pray, train, and prepare how to best meet the needs of our campers - both individually and in a group setting. With a focus on making disciples of Jesus, our staff encourages campers as they grow in their faith, build new friendships, and have fun in a safe and supportive environment.
